HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Thank you, friends, for making 2014 our best year ever! We've wormed our way into many of your houses and apartments, and we hope to keep spicing you up for years to come!

To ring in the New Year tonight, we're going be sipping on a little cocktail we've dubbed The Goldfinch.

Home made noçino and pear liqueur

Home made noçino and pear liqueur

1) Get yourself some hard cider (prosecco, champagne or ginger ale works too). We make our own hard cider. You don't have to. It's crazy hard work. 

2) Get yourself some apple or pear liqueur. We make our own with Iowa Nice Spice, along with a doozy of an Italian black walnut liqueur called Noçino (mad scientist Stacey over at The Best American Poetry blog taught us how to do it. Here's the recipe). Get a bottle of any one of these. Apple works great.

3) Pour a splash of the liqueur into the cider, prosecco, or ginger ale.
